Our condolences to the Rozario family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Mr. Rozario was a kind and gentle man who on a nice day loved watching his family play pickleball. Playing pickleball will not be the same without our #1 fan watching.

Dad “Dadda”/ Grandpa “Papa”

Very hard to find the right words right now. The void, the loss and your presence will be painfully missed. The only comfort is knowing what an incredibly beautiful long and fulfilling life you lived and now you get to be with Mom/Grandma again. You really left your mark on this earth and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing you would agree. Those of you who know Rebecca and Emilija need to know our sense of humour was inherited from this wonderful man. Our relationships truly describe the definition of “Daddy’s and Grandpa’s little girl”. How fortunate and enriched have we been to of had you in our lives.
WE LOVE YOU!

Jayden made a video documentary about his grandpa's life. He interviewed him about his life, his struggles growing up, immigrating to Canada, his family, how the world has changed over the past 100 years. Here are some of his stories:
Won the fattest (or cutest) baby contest and was awarded a silver cup/trophy.

- the interesting story about this one was that the Ayah who was employed by his family - she asked dad's mom if she could have the silver cup - grandma of course said no - when they were packing their belongings to move for the India/Pakistan separation - it was packed in a large cardboard box - about halfway down - the Ayah helped pack it. When the box arrived at their destination - there was a big hole in the exact place where it was packed and the cup was gone

Grandpa the Soothsayer

When dadda was younger he and his friend would visit the elders in his neighbourhood - there were seniors who had their sons away at war. Dadda and friend would talk to them, ask questions about their sons etc. he and his friend would then leave - change their clothes and wrap their heads (I think in turbans) - put makeup on their faces and return to these seniors, tell them how they had been getting messages about their sons - whether they were safe, what they were doing etc. The parents (seniors) were very happy to hear from them - then dad and friend would remove makeup and costumes and return to the seniors to talk to them - and they would tell them how happy they were and how the soothsayers (like a psychic) had told them the good news, etc. - He would get money from these seniors -not sure when he was dressed in costume or when he returned

Grandpa the philanthropist

- when grandpa worked for the ordinance he used to take the Tramsway - like a streetcar to work
- he would often see the beggars (homeless) in the street on his way to work
- he felt badly and decided to start walking home instead - and gave the money that he had for the Trams to the people on the street instead
- this walk was about an hour away from home
- after doing this for several weeks, he decided that if he could walk home and give his money to the poor - he could also do this on the way to work also - so he started to walk to work instead and gave the money to the poor

Vice-President Nixon

- Nixon was visiting the U.S. Embassy in India and he met gramps who was one of the employees - he was so impressed with gramps that he personally requested that gramps be his driver for the week - they had to rearrange gramps' schedules so he could be on days and he spent a week driving Nixon around. When Nixon returned to the State Department - Washington DC USA he arranged for dad to receive a special award for his services
