In memory of

Terezia "Terka" Moravan

June 26, 1932 -  August 24, 2021

Terka passed away, peacefully while asleep on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Houses of Providence in Scarborough. Her daughter Elena remained at her side throughout her final few days. All her living children, as well as her two eldest grandchildren, visited and comforted her shortly beforehand.

Terka was an avid knitter, active in the Catholic Church, and a self-described “coffee monster” (just like her father before her). She loved to bake and to cook, to the benefit of her family, friends and neighbours.

Terka will be lovingly remembered by all whose paths crossed with hers. She will be especially missed by her daughters, Veronika & Elena (“the twins”), Marta, and Monika, her grandchildren Melissa, Julia, Bill & Sylvie (“twins - the next generation”), Maggie and Christopher, and by her great-grandchildren Adelaide, Mirabel and Persephone.

Her family would like to thank the Houses of Providence staff for their care and compassion. Many wonderful care-givers tended to her during her five and a half year tenure at Providence. A few that come to top of mind are Sandra, Ishmael, Charmaine (whom Terka affectionately called Champagne), Shirley, Paulette, Tina and Angelica.

Terka will be laid to rest at Erskine Cemetery, next to her husband Ervin Paul (died 2001) and her son Pavol (died 1999). She is predeceased by her parents, Celestin and Vilma, and her dear sisters Marta, Vilka and Ludka.

Our condolences to Roni and her family for the loss of their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Though we've never met Roni's mom, we have heard so much about her in the past few years. Rest in peace Mrs. Moravan.
