In memory of

Terence William Brennan

November 4, 1947 -  November 9, 2019

Terry was 72 when he passed away at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Saturday, November 9, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was cherished and valued by Carole, his wife of 48 years. He was dearly loved by his daughter, Christine Moppett (Thomas) and his son, Daniel Brennan. His grandchildren, Nathan and Madeleine Moppett, will deeply miss their PapaTer. He was dear to his sister, Patrice Brennan (Thomas). His parents, William Brennan and Kathleen Lawson Brennan predeceased him.

Terry was a man who followed his interests passionately and never stopped learning. He loved his career of 34 years as a clinical social worker at North York General Hospital and in private practice as a marital therapist. Following his retirement in 2011 he kept abreast of all the issues of the day and pursued in-depth understandings of weighty topics. Over gourmet meals that he enthusiastically cooked for family and friends he initiated stimulating discussions. Terry enjoyed travel abroad, active winters in Florida, nature and fishing, music and authentic films. He will be remembered for his love of celebration with family and close friends, his attentive listening skills, keen insight and a sense of humour that leaned toward the ridiculous.

A Memorial Service will be held at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, North York on Saturday, November 30, 2019. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. A service in the chapel will be held at 2:00 pm. An afternoon tea will follow in the Reception Room after the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Daily Bread Food Bank.

Always loved. Never forgotten. Safe in the arms of the Lord.

Terry will be dearly missed by Lee and me!!!!
He was such an encourager as I followed his advice and was able to beat health issues...a fine coach for fasting and eating healthy. Besides that he was just great to be with. Thinking of you Carole with love
