It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Terence Mervyn Francois on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Brampton, at age 32.

Terence will be lovingly remembered by his mother Rosalyn Francois (Mervyn Carson Francois predeceased in 2019), his sister Tanisha Roslyn Francois, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was a devoted son, a caring brother, and a cherished friend to many.

Terence was known for his incredible sense of humour, warm heart, and kind soul. He lit up every room with his presence and had an extraordinary sense of compassion, making those around him feel welcomed and valued. He was deeply loved by so many, and his presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

In his youth, Terence was a proud Sea Cadet — an experience that helped shape his lifelong love for the outdoors. He served as class president at Lakeshore Collegiate Institute high school — a true reflection of how easily he connected with others and how well he was liked and respected by his peers — and later continued his education at Humber College.

Terence found great joy in the outdoors; he loved fishing, camping, and spending weekends away at cottages with friends, embracing the peace that nature brought him. He had a unique passion for collecting survival gear, always preparing for his next adventure. Terence also loved football, spending time with friends and family, and sharing laughs over board games or computer games.

Terence’s warmth, laughter, and kind spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Family and Friends will be received at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE- MISSISSAUGA 1535 South Gateway Road (at Dixie Road, two lights south of Eglinton) 905-602-1580 on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 — 3:00 p.m. for a visitation. A Celebration of Terence’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m.
