In memory of

Teodoro Privado Villanos Sr.

March 5, 1936 -  April 30, 2024

Teodoro Privado Villanos Sr. of Thornhill, Ontario, Canada passed away at the age of 88 at Mackenzie Health Hospital on April 30, 2024 after falling ill to colon cancer.

Born on March 5, 1936 to his parents, Fructoso and Isidra Villanos, in Pangasinan, Philippines - Teodoro started his own family with his wife, Ignacia Villanos, taking the holy sacrament of marriage on January 16, 1959. Teodoro celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary this year.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ignacia, and children: Purita, Francis, Zanita, Teodoro Jr., Eden, Elisa, Juna, Dennis, Jaypee. His in-laws: Cesar, Ester, Arnel, Donna, Richard, Marife, Riza. His grandchildren: John-Kirby with Aileen, Joanne with Mark, Louise with Deniz, AJ, Ainsley, Erin, Jereese, Eric, Elmar, Rina, Jerill, Brenaly, Mark, Jacob, Samantha. His great-grandchildren: Kai, Chloe, Gabby.

He spent his life in the Philippines surrounded by family, friends, and neighbours taking great care of his loved ones by cultivating land and farming. It was the natural way of life.

February 1996, Teodoro immigrated to Canada with his wife and youngest children (Elisa, Juna, Dennis, Jaypee), excited for the future and building a new life abroad.

After retiring, he devoted this period of time to caring for grandchildren. His hobbies included biking, cooking and socializing with friends. He had a great sense of humour and was very clever and sharp with his remarks. He was known for impromptu quizzing and spelling bees to test his grandchildren's knowledge.

Teodoro lived happily with his wife at their home in Thornhill, Ontario surrounded by family before he was admitted to the hospital for special care in early April of this year. His children and wife exemplified devotion towards Teodoro as his health declined over his later years to ensure 24/7 assistance and care. Teodoro was beyond blessed and doctors praised the family for their efforts.
