It is with profound sadness that the family of Tammara Boughen announce her passing on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the age of 59 years.
Tammara will be lovingly and always remembered by her husband of 29 years Chris Tait and their children Nolan, Leah and Gabriel. Tammara will be missed dearly by her mother, Jane Boughen (Dave Ibbotson), sisters Sheila Boughen-Jenkins (Timm) and Penny Mercer, father-in-law Warren Tait and brothers-in-law Ken Tait (Judy) and Mike Tait (Jen). Tammara will be fondly remembered as Aunt T. to many nieces and nephews. Tammara will be forever remembered by her closest friends who she held so dearly to her heart “The Yayas”, Karen, Elizabeth, Sandy, Lorraine, Joanne and their partners and greatly missed by her dear friends Jill and Mark. Tammara was predeceased by her father Ted Boughen and mother-in-law Margaret Tait.
Tammara’s career included many years with Environment Canada as she was so passionate about the protection of the environment and was able to make numerous contributions in her life to bring awareness to this great need. Tammara finished her career as teacher with the Toronto District School Board where she had the chance to enrich students with her vast knowledge and passion for learning. Tammara brought happiness to many people and she will be missed by all those she touched.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Rekai Wellesley Central Place – 4th Floor East for their incredible care and compassion over the past three years which included the most difficult times during the covid pandemic.
