Tamara Nadia Farstad

March 15, 1978 -  March 16, 2019

Tamara Farstad (Parmanand) passed away on March 16, 2019 after undergoing several years of cancer treatment.

Tamara was born on March 15, 1978 in Toronto. Tamara is survived by her husband Steve and daughter Callie. She was daughter to loving parents Dave and Cynthia Parmanand. She also leaves behind two brothers. Kevin and his wife Roma, and their children Rohan, Talvin and Aliyah Parmanand. Steven and his wife Ravitha Parmanand. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews behind.

She worked in mental health services for youth for over 10 years, coordinating services that assisted youth at risk for suicide or other serious mental health issues. Tamara spent much of the last 7 years of her life in various forms of cancer treatment, but did not let it define her life. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends, and loved, and was loved by many.

To a loved one who was so loving , warm and kind to us on our last visit there. We lived so many miles away but still i kept in touch with her mom and I always enquired of her and sent my love. I was so sad to hear about her situation and the pain and suffering that she had to go through for such a young person. She did not get to live her life as she wanted to I'm sure because of her illness but stayed strong until the end. My heart goes out to all the family members in this time of grief. I may not be able to be there in person but accept my sympathy on behalf of my mother and my children. May her soul rest in peace.
