Tam Hei (Thomas) Yeung, loved deeply by his family and friends, passed away peacefully in his home on August 3rd. He would have celebrated his 100th birthday in November. Born in Hong Kong, Tam Hei moved to Jamaica when a young man where he was a successful small business owner for many years. He married Sau King (Susan) Hui, also of Hong Kong, and raised a family of five children before immigrating to Canada to start a new life. In Canada, Tam Hei was a small business owner in Toronto before retiring in Scarborough to enjoy cooking, gardening, and time with family.
Words cannot express all that Tam Hei meant to his family. His work ethic, loyalty, and daily acts of kindness and love spoke of his dedication to his wife, children and grandchildren. His presence and quiet dignity were always a source of security and comfort to his family. We are grateful that he passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved and treasured him. Tam Hei is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sau King, his sons, Victor and King, his daughters, Mary, Julie and Carmen, and his grandchildren, Austin, Kiana, Taylor and Samantha. Rest in peace Dad. We will keep you in our hearts always. Family and friends are welcome to join us in remembering Tam Hei at the Elgin Mills Funeral Centre on Friday, August 7 at 9am – 11am.
