Hofmans, Sylvia (nee Rencis)
July 13, 1931 – December 11, 2017

Passed away peacefully on the afternoon of December 11, 2017 at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg. Sylvia was born in Riga, Latvia and lived most of her adult life in Toronto. Family was very important to her as was maintaining family traditions and celebrations. Sylvia had a great sense of humour and a great sense of style; she will be remembered for her generosity and kindness. Sylvia will be dearly missed by her daughter Anita and her son in law Oliver. Sylvia was the cherished Nana of Lija, Kristina, and Aleks who will also miss her greatly. Visitation will be held at the YORK FUNERAL CENTRE, 160 Beecroft Rd., Toronto (north of Sheppard, west of Yonge St., 416-221-3404) on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at York Cemetery.
