Tuesday March 12th 2024 passed away peacefully in her beloved husband Jimmy's arms at her home in Thornhill Ontario. Joy was a devoted mother to her 3 children Allan, Dina and her husband Peter and deceased son Sean. She was a very proud Bubby to her grandchildren Erika, Amber, Tonje, Riley, Hunter and Tallulah. Joy was predeceased by her parents Eddie and Sophie Mallins. She was a loving and caring sister to her brother Stephen Mallins/Barb and her sister Heather Mallins/Cameron. She is also survived by her niece Vanessa Gray, Elyse Mallins and nephew Les/Nancy Mallins. Joy fought hard during her 8+ year battle with COPD with the love of her life Jimmy right by her side every breath she took. This was a love story that lasted over 6o years! She will be missed immensely by all her loving friends and family. FUNERAL will be on Monday March 18th at 1pm at York Funeral Centre in the sanctuary. There will be no burial. SHIVA will be at 7460 Bathurst St Thornhill in the party room on Monday after the funeral ceremony Tuesday from 11-3 and 6-8:30 concluding.
