In memory of

William Sui Cheung Jang

April 12, 1932 -  October 12, 2020

Passed away peacefully at home in Toronto, Ontario on Monday October 12, 2020 at the age of 89 years. WILLIAM JANG was born in China, then came to Canada 66 years ago to become a Canadian citizen, start a business and family. He was a highly successful business entrepreneur in the grocery and dry cleaning businesses.

As a prominent, proud community leader representing the Toronto chapter of the Tai Shan organization for Canada, William served as President of the Tai Shan Chinese Association of Ontario for many years with many recognitions and awards from mainland China government officials. He was very well-known; a highly respected individual by other Chinese community groups within Canada, New Zealand and China, who cherished his role as a community leader to always help other members and friends in times of need.

William is deeply loved by his wife Sau Yung Jang of 66 years, brother Kenny, sister Pui Yin and 8 children: Sheila (Johnny); Betty (Sonny); Mary; Barbara; Pat (Ken); Edward (May (predeceased)); Jeff (Susan) and Linda (Clifford).

Grandpa is survived by his sixteen grandchildren Ryan; Andrew (Fanny); Allison (Geoff); Jennifer; Nicholas (Charlene); Katherine (Shayne); Tamara (Tiana); Leeland; Cassandra; Justin; Edison (Jenny); Brandon; Lucy (Walid); Clinton; Gwendelyn and Megdelyn.

Great grandfather will be remembered by his great grandchildren, Tyler and Nolan.

We ALL will dearly miss him – as a husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, his friends and as a community leader. Forever in our hearts with fond memories, we will remember his legacy that is unmatched by many generations, built with personal integrity and hard-work.

I write this comment reflecting back on all the memories we had together. You have always taken care of me and my family. We have relied on you so much over the years that you will be truly missed. You would always worry about me and the boys. Like, making sure we are always fed to making sure the boys are doing well in school and life. Well, I can tell you now , “don’t worry “, it’s my job now. If I can do half the job that you have done in raising me, the boys will turn out fine. I know how important they were to you.

Rest In Peace dad, we will always be thinking of you.
