In memory of

Suet Hing Wong 黄徐雪郷太夫人

January 8, 1917 -  November 16, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of our beloved grandmother, Suet Hing Wong, on November 16, 2025, at the remarkable age of 108.

Born in 1917 in the Panyu area, Guangzhou city, Guangdong province, China, Suet lived a long, full life devoted to the family she cherished above all else. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion shaped generations. Known for her infectious smile and her gift for storytelling, she kept family history alive through the many stories she shared that connected generations.

Suet was the proud mother of three sons and three daughters. She is survived by five of her children, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love, resilience, perseverance and family unity.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Chester Village Long Term Care Home, with special appreciation to the dedicated staff of Jade Resident Home Area, whose compassionate care brought comfort and dignity to Suet in her final years.

Suet’s life was a testament to strength, love, and the bonds of family. Though she has left this world, her memory will remain a guiding light for all who knew and loved her.

Will miss Grandma very much. She took over the care of myself and my sister Linda, after our Great-Grandfather returned to China. Afterward, Grandma went to help care for younger cousins, Edward and William. Family has always been her focus. Always sharp mind, even in her later years. Later, when I visit with my daughters, Lea and Sabrina, their Great- Grandmother would just light up, happy to see them. Always kind and strong. We all love you Grandma.

My grandma was a true old school matriarch who was fiercely protective of her values and her family especially the grand & great-grand “kids”.
I count myself blessed to have had the times I did with her both one on one and in a family group setting.
Always holding my hand, I will forever remember all the stories and life lessons she imparted on me.
Rest In Peace Grandma🕊️

My grandma was an embodiment of strength, independence, and perseverance. As a woman who has experienced the shifting dynamics of nearly eleven decades, she has endured the ebb and flow of societal changes, persisted through war and famine, and endeavoured to navigate the quirks of transplanting herself entirely in different country, all the while, she used her resolve to raise her children and grandchildren.

Poh poh will be greatly missed.
