In memory of

Stergios "Steve" Vittas

May 5, 1936 -  July 5, 2023

Surrounded by the love of his family, Stergios died peacefully at the age of 87. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Zoe (Louisa) and their children Joanne (Peter) and Louis (Lisa). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Zackary, Lauren, Isabella and Steven. Stergios came to Canada in the mid 1960s with his father (Lambros) and his two brothers (Tom and Sam) with a dream and a desire for a better life. He will always be remembered by family and friends as a gentle, kind and quiet individual. Stergios showed his family heroic courage in the last few years of his life as he battled a brief illness with cancer. Rest in peace Papou knowing that your dreams have come true for your family.

Friends may call at the St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church, 11323 Warden Avenue, Markham on Friday, July 7, 2023 for a visitation starting at 11 A.M. A funeral mass will begin at 12:00 P.M. An interment to follow at ELGIN MILLS CEMETERY, 1591 Elgin Mills Road E., Richmond Hill. A memorial luncheon to be served back at the Church.

The family is deeply grateful for the care, efforts and kindness of the professional staff at NYGH. If desired, donations may be made to the North York General Foundation.
