In God’s Loving Embrace
Surrounded by the love of his family, Steve passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2025, at the age of 77. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of over 37 years, Pat, and his daughters, Jennifer (James) and Naomi (Steve). A proud grandpa and papa, he cherished his time with Kyle, Erin and Vivian.
Though an only child, Steve found family in his devoted sisters-in law, Jayne (John), Gayle (Dave) and Janet (Chris); his brothers-in-law, Steven (Gail) and Gordon (Sandy) and in his extended family members who will hold his memory close.
Steve built a successful 25-year career in purchasing and transportation procurement at IBM before enjoying part-time roles with Cadbury and The Liquor Store. In retirement, he embraced life’s simple joys—horse races, shooting pool, dining out and entertaining with his wife and best friend, Pat.
A man of great passion for games, Steve found joy in board games, card games, and “friendly” competitions. He loved playing poker with his close friends Fulbert and Ted, enjoyed Euchre with his mother and daughters, and shared countless laughs with family while playing Sorry, Rumoli, and Monopoly at the cottage.
Steve was also passionate about curling and golf, proudly displaying his many trophies—none more cherished than the one commemorating his hole-in-one!
Steve will also be fondly remembered by his exceptionally kind and loving neighbours who enriched his life in countless ways.
