It is with profound sadness that the family of Stephen (Steve), age 57, announce his sudden passing on May 25, 2018 in Mississauga. Stephen was father to Brendan and Sean (loving mother Laurel Turnbull), partner to Jackie Melanson, brother to Eileen (Michael), Tony (Nadine), Jimmy, Tom (Lucy) and Sean, and son of the late John and Mary Hunt. Stephen will be sorely missed by many beyond the family. Viewing at The Simple Alternative – Mississauga at 1535 South Gateway Road on Sunday, June 3 from 12 to 4 p.m.

Steve was my best friend's older brother who brought fear and awe to me whenever he walked by. He was the coolest guy in town and had everything a teenager wanted, a cool car, hot girls and respect. Back then I didn't think about the future or what it would bring me but if I did it would have been to have the love and respect Steve had from his friends and family.

What can I say, I have known Steve for over 40 years. He was my brother Gary Hayes’s very close friend . I just want to say to the whole Hunt Family, we are here for you all. Steve will be greatly missed by so many people who loved him. Sending you all, my love. This is not goodbye Steve, I will see you at a later date, my friend.
