In memory of

Stanley Walter Vallom

March 1, 1933 -  June 19, 2022

Stanley “Buzz” Walter Vallom
March 1, 1933 – June 19, 2022
Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Sylvia Vallom (nee Hall), a wonderful father to sons Craig Vallom (Mariola (late)), Chris Vallom (Sue) and daughter Laura Wilson (Michael). Proud Papa to Liam, Summer, Riley and Trevor, as well as granddogs Lucy, Roxie and Flea – his biggest fans! Buzz worked as an electrician for the Board of Education until his retirement in 1998. He was also the family chef and made many wonderful holiday meals over the years. He liked to sit down and ‘tickle the ivories’ every now and again, playing old favorites like September Song and Spanish Eyes. He dressed in style, often the best dressed man in the room. Buzz was also ‘King of the Road’, an excellent driver who travelled across Canada and the US, with trailer and family in tow, and then for many years down to Sanibel Florida and back with his trusty navigator Sylvia by his side. In his 70’s he spread his wings and travelled the globe with Sylvia, along with other family and friends, to far off places such as India, Russia, Europe and China. Most of all Buzz was a quiet and generous man with a heart of gold who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday July 16th from 1-4pm at the Pine Hills Funeral Center, 625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough. If desired donations can be made to the Ontario SPCA, Northumberland Hills Hospital, Kingston General Hospital or charity of your choice.

Dear Sylvia, Craig, Chris, Laura and Michael and all the grandkids
Sincere condolences on the loss of Buzz - he was one of a kind and I count myself so lucky to have known him and spent time with him and you all in Sanibel and on Scarborough road. He was one of the kindest people I know and I think of him often when cooking - then I add more butter and cream in his honour ;-)

Drive on, King of the Road -

Dear Sylvia, Chris, Craig and Laura,
We were so very sorry to hear about Buzz. It seems like only yesterday we were next door neighbours on Scarborough Road or attending Jesse's wedding together. Although the years have passed, one thing I will always remember is what a true gentleman your hubby/Dad was. Take heart in knowing Buzz is watching over all of you, at peace and free from suffering. Rest with the angels Mr Vallom. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Love Peg, John and Derryck
