In memory of

Stanley Bernard Chidwick

February 1, 1936 -  February 22, 2023

After a long hard battle with Dementia, our Father, Papa and friend left us on Wednesday February 22, 2023 in his 88th year, peacefully at Centennial Place Long Term Care in Millbrook. He was a loving husband to the late Olga Pauline Chidwick (2005). Father of Kathy Francis (predeceased Tom Mayhew), Pauline Sterling (Bill), and predeceased by Deborah Chidwick. Loving Papa to Amanda (Steve Trepanier) and cherished great Papa to Ava and Callie. Survived by his brother Ronald, predeceased by his brothers Frederick, Kenneth, and sister Doreen. Stan was a proud Veteran and past member of the Royal Canadian Legion. A special thank you to all the staff at Centennial Place for all their dedication and loving care. A private service will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road, Oshawa 905-579-6787.

I never got the chance to meet you sir. I did however get to hear and read stories about you. You did a hell of a job raising your baby girl Pauline. She has become a fond friend of mine. I really enjoy her company and I’m sure I would have enjoyed yours too. I’m sad for her, as her heart is broken, but I will be there for her in this time of grief. Fly high sweet man.
