In memory of

Lionel Edmund St. Bernard

September 25, 1947 -  January 26, 2022

Celebration of Life:

Lionel Edmund St. Bernard born September 25th 1947 to Eversley St. Bernard (affectionately known as Lee) and Angelina St. Bernard. He was the fourth of eight children. His older siblings Cuthbert, Myra, Doreen and following him, Juan, Curtis, Jerry and Eura.

Lionel attended Wesley Hall Elementary School and Grenada Boys Secondary School.

Lionel worked with the Grenada Government Ministry of Finance and Grenada Distillers Limited.

Lionel migrated to St. Maarten in 1970 and in 1974 joined his sister Doreen in Canada, and went on to live in Canada till his passing.

Lionel was an avid reader and loved a heated political debate. He enjoyed listening to Jazz and Christian music while preparing a meal. To the surprise of many of his friends, Lionel was very handy about the kitchen with a love for cooking and baking especially his coconut bake. His love for the kitchen served him well as a bachelor after his first marriage.

Lionel met Merry Guide and was married again in 2002. He leaves behind his wife Merry, four children Adrian, Keegan, Judaa, Jahara and three granddaughters, Amaya, Tatianna and Emma.

Lionel will be terribly missed by his family, siblings, and nieces Lauren, Nadia, Josephine, Nicole, Karen, Samera. His nephews Yohance, Daniel, and numerous cousins, the Donalds, Phillips, Marks, Eniles, Bullens, extended family and numerous friends.

You were greatly loved by us all. Rest in eternal peace, Lionel.

Please note that due to gathering restrictions for funerals, related to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the celebration of life for Mr. St. Bernard will be a private family affair, open by invitation only.
