In memory of

Sophie Karavilovski

January 6, 1957 -  June 6, 2020

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beautiful “Mackedonsko devojche”, Sophie Karavilovski, on June 6, 2020 at the age of 63. After a brief and courageous battle with COVID-19, God called her home despite us not wanting to lose her. A part of us went with her, so she did not go alone.

Sophie will forever be remembered by her devoted husband of 45 years, best friend, and original “honey bun” Mile, and her children Robert (Julia) and Linda (Bruce), her parents Flora and her late husband Iane, and her siblings Seva and Bill (Eva). Sophie will also be lovingly remembered by her nephews, nieces, extended family and dear friends.

Sophie was a vibrant, spiritual woman who adored her family and friends. She made friends wherever she went and always managed to stand out in a crowd with her infectious laughter. Sophie loved to sing, dance and entertain for her family and friends. Her cooking and baking brought joy to her loved ones at numerous special gatherings. Known for her charismatic and loving personality, she was a ray of sunshine that would brighten any room she entered. Cheerful and loving, giving and caring, Sophie treated everyone the same - with open arms. She was the backbone of her family and fiercely protective of her loved ones. She was a devoted employee as a Lab Technician of MDS laboratories (LifeLabs) and would always say for “25 happy years”.

Funeral service in memory of Sophie and interment will be held at Pine Hills Cemetary at 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, Ontario at 10:00 am on Tuesday June 9, 2020.

To my dearest Sophie,

Where might I have been but for your watchful eye, caring heart and guiding hand. Your firm but gentle ways brought me back in times I had strayed. My gratitude and love for you are endless. Beauty was captured within your heart and smile and framed within my own heart, forever to keep. Who could forget your face, nor how it beams, or your laugh - how it rings. Who could ever forget these things. My dearest Sophie, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Sleep now. It's time to dream.

With all of my love,
Aneta

My Aunt was a role model the world could take many lessons from. Be it her compassion to all, dedication to family & friends, spirituality, generosity, leadership; she exemplified graceful humanity.

Your "vacation elbows", guidance, laughter, smothering kisses, and cheesecake will be DEEPLY missed.
