Sophie Goboly (Nee Micheff)

Passed away peacefully on Thursday February 25, 2021. Born in the Village of Oschima Macedonia, immigrated to Canada in 1955.

Devoted wife to the late George Goboly. Loving mother to Nicholas Goboly and daughter in law Lynn Galloway. Beloved sister to Nik Nikolaou (deceased), Fana Kovacs ( nee Micheff ) and Bill Mich (deceased). Treasured Teta to Louis , Emmanuel and James Nikolaou, Leslie , John and Julie Kovacs and Cathy and Dorothy Mich.
Sophie will be remembered fondly for her fierce dedication and care to her family and friends, her love of gardening at the cottage, legendary Sunday dinners and dancing with her husband George. She will also be remembered for her many years of volunteer work with Stroke Survivors in Toronto.

A private family service and graveside burial will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery. A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Forever in memory. I'm so greatful for love and laughter we've shared. The weekends and Summers at the cottage growing up were highlights in my life...I didn't know back then, but as an adult I realised how blessed I was to have all those moments.
