故 정순기 장로님께서는 1946년 8월 12일 서울 안국동에서 태어나, 2026년 5월 22일 향년 80세를 일기로 하나님의 부르심을 받고 하나님의 품에 안겨 평안한 안식을 누리게 되셨습니다.
고인께서는 학창 시절부터 성실함과 뛰어난 학업 성적으로 두각을 나타내셨으며, 고등학교를 수석으로 졸업하셨습니다. 이후 대학에서 경제학과를 졸업하신 후, 쌍용기업에서 20여 년간 성실함과 뛰어난 책임감으로 묵묵히 헌신하시어, 모두에게 모범이 되는 삶을 보여주셨고, 가족을 위해 쉼 없이 일해 오셨습니다. 직장에서는 탁월한 업무 능력과 올바른 인품으로 많은 존경과 신뢰를 받으셨으며, 여러 차례 우수한 성과로 표창과 상을 받으셨습니다.
1987년 12월 28일, 가족과 함께 자녀들의 더 나은 미래를 꿈꾸며 캐나다로 이주하셨고, 낯선 타국에서도 변함없는 믿음 가운데 늘 기도하며 가족과 교회를 위해 헌신하는 삶을 살아오셨습니다.
정순기 장로님은 사랑하는 아내 김정애 권사님과 60여 년의 세월 동안 하나님 안에서 변함없는 사랑과 믿음을 나누며 살아오셨습니다. 자녀 인선, 인완, 유현을 향한 고인의 사랑은 하나님께서 허락하신 큰 축복이었으며, 그 어떤 아버지보다 깊고 크셨습니다.
고인께서는 큰딸 인선과 사위 일용, 손주 아름과 지성, 둘째 딸 인완과 사위 범진, 손주 보현, 보혜와 지훈, 아들 유현과 며느리 한나, 그리고 손주 혜린을 두셨습니다.
정순기 장로님은 언제나 가족을 먼저 생각하시고, 타인을 배려하며 따뜻하고 진실된 삶으로 모범을 보이셨습니다. 또한 깊은 신앙과 온화한 마음으로 많은 사람들을 섬기고 대접하기를 그 누구보다 즐겨 하시며, 진실한 사랑을 나누셨습니다.
고인을 기억하며 함께해 주시는 모든 분들께 깊은 감사의 말씀을 드리며, 삼가 고인의 명복을 빕니다.

Elder Soon Ki Chung was born on August 12, 1946, in Anguk-dong, Seoul, Korea, and peacefully entered into the arms of God on May 22, 2026, at the age of 80.
From an early age, he was known for his diligence, discipline, and outstanding academic achievement, graduating at the top of his high school class. He later earned a degree in Economics and devoted 20 years of faithful service to Ssangyong C&B Corporation. Through his tireless dedication, integrity, and strong sense of responsibility, he worked wholeheartedly to provide for his family. Throughout his career, he was deeply respected and admired for both his exceptional work ethic and his character, receiving numerous commendations and awards in recognition of his accomplishments.
On December 28, 1987, he immigrated to Canada with his family in pursuit of a brighter future for his children. Even while building a new life in a foreign country, his unwavering devotion and sacrificial love for his family never changed.
Elder Soon Ki Chung shared more than 50 years of steadfast love and faith in God with his beloved wife, Deaconess Jeong Ae Kim. His love for his children, Stephanie, Sarah, and Daniel, was God’s greatest blessing, and his depth of love was beyond measure.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Jeong-Ae; his eldest daughter Stephanie and her husband Philip, and their children Candice and Bryce; his second daughter Sarah and her husband Brian, and their children Justin, Abby, and Brayden; and his son Daniel and his wife Hanna, and their child Ellie.
Elder Soon Ki Chung always placed his family above all else and lived a life marked by kindness, sincerity, humility, and compassion for others. Through his deep faith and gentle spirit, he faithfully served and welcomed many people, sharing genuine love and warmth with everyone around him.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who join us in remembering and honouring his life, and we pray that he may rest in eternal peace.
