Sonja Nielsen
June 15, 1938 - February 22, 2017

We are devastated at the passing of our truly amazing Mom and Grandmother.
She will now join her soul mate and the love of her life, her husband Arne (Oct. 8, 2006) – as Sonja always said, they will be “together forever”.
Mom’s unconditional love, enormous strength and dedication, were an inspiration to us all and we will miss her so very much.
She has always said that she didn’t just have 3 children but was so lucky that her children chose wonderful spouses thus adding 3 more to her family. Sonja always wanted a lot of children.
Mom will be missed by her daughter Grethe (Mike Sabourin), her son Tom (Suanne) and her daughter Sarah Green (Dan).
Her absolute joy were her 4 grandchildren, Hanne and Jakob Nielsen and Morgan and Shelby Green – she watched them grow with such pride and overwhelming love. She treasured them so very much.
Sonja also had such a great family in Denmark and we know they are also going to feel her loss.
Our Mom had a fantastic career as a real estate broker for 49 years and she loved every moment of it right until her well-deserved retirement.
Our family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Trillium Health Mississauga Hospital for our mom’s wonderful care.
As per our mom’s wishes, there will be no memorial service and her funeral will be private for the family.
