So Ngor Gin, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at the Michael Garron Hospital at the age of 90. She was born on January 14, 1930 in Toishan, Guangdong, China. She was predeceased by her husband Suey Kee Gin, her siblings Yan Fung Kai, Yip Tao Sung, Yip Tao Sum and her parents Yip Shun-On and Kwok Jun-Hung.
After arriving in Canada on March 23, 1965, she worked as a seamstress, a steward at the Sheraton, Hilton and Westin hotels as well as helped her husband in his restaurant. She loved to have dim sum and play mah jong with friends as well as enjoyed travelling.
She will be dearly missed by her sons Kwoi, Tim (Sonia), Hugo (Grace), and Robert (Rebecca). She is cherished by her Grandchildren Justice, Jaden, and Jaxon whom she adored. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
A private visitation will be held at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Road) on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 9 - 10 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
