In memory of

Simin Ghaffarian-Shirazi

March 6, 1951 -  May 5, 2024

Simin Ghaffarian-Shirazi passed away on May 5, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She was born to the late Kazem Keyhani and Esmat Marveh on March 6, 1951 in Tehran, Iran. Simin was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to a large family whom she loved unconditionally. She was the fabric that brought everyone together, always putting the needs of others ahead of her own, and was the true essence of humility, kindness and joy.

Simin is survived by her husband, Masoud Ghaffarin-Shirazi, their two sons, Milad and Behnoud Ghaffarian and their spouses Karolina and David, along with her five grandchildren (Sierra, Cyrus, Savanna, Emilia, and Selena). She is also survived by her siblings Nasrin Ketabi, Mehrnaz Keyhani and Mohammad Keyhani and their spouses Mahmood and Parviz, along with her nieces and nephews (Ali, Ehsan, Pegah, Saba, Armin and Azin) and many relatives from around the world.

Simin was the kind of mother and wife who was always there for her husband and children. She built a life in Canada with her husband, Masoud, that allowed her children to fully flourish where she accepted everyone for who they were and always celebrated life to the fullest. She will be dearly missed and remembered by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 11, 2024 between 1:00pm and 2:30pm at the Elgin Mills Funeral Centre (1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, Ontario). The family requests donations in support of cancer research in lieu of sending flowers.
