In memory of

Silvana Corrente

December 3, 1968 -  April 7, 2018

Peacefully, at age 49, at Hill House Hospice in Richmond Hill. Born in Toronto, Ontario to Pasqualina (nee Angiolella) and the late Mario Corrente. Married to the love of her life, Terry Frangos for 21 years, they raised two thoughtful and caring children, Angela and Brian. Survived by her siblings Ralph and Tony, sisters in law Sandra, Linda, and Barbara. Nieces Alexandra, Julia, Kristina and nephews Anthony and Michael. In laws Kosta and Katina.

Silvana found happiness in planning and organizing. There are lists for everything from daily routines to what to purchase now and in the future. This trait may be why she was great at her work in both accounting and teaching.

Her love of the outdoors and trees was fulfilled with hikes. From the early dating days with Terry and even when Angela and Brian were just toddlers, Silvana had the family do many of the trails in Ontario. No matter where they went in the world Silvana would find a trail to hike even when some of those hikes triggered her fear of heights or as she would tell us, "It's not a fear of heights but a fear of falling".

Her passion for travel took her to Australia, Hawaii, Venezuela and many other destinations far and wide. She wanted to share this with the kids which lead to her final big trip to Europe with the family in 2016. Silvana always wanted to see everything at her destinations but knew that was not always possible. She made sure to provide a feel for a location to spur on curiosity to visit again in the future.

No matter what job, travel destination or outing Silvana went to she would make a friend or two. Her openness and inviting smile had people come to her with questions. She was all too happy to offer advice, guidance or a checklist to anyone that asked and sometimes even if they didn't.

She will be missed by all of us that were fortunate enough to have her in our lives.

May her memory be eternal.

Visitation will be held at the ELGIN MILLS CEMETERY AND FUNERAL CENTRE (1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill) on Wednesday April 11th, from 2-4 and 7-9pm and Thursday from 9 to 9:30am. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church (10295 Yonge St, Richmond Hill) at 10:00 am . Interment to follow at the Elgin Mills Cemetery.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all at the Hill House Hospice in Richmond Hill. Their loving care provided Silvana and the family comfort in her final days. This hospice you call a HOUSE is truly more a HOME.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hill House Hospice. Donations may be made in person at the funeral centre or through the donations tab link on the website.

In our given life, when a family follows all the rules of God and those of men,
what reason must there be for a life to be taken away from a loving family in so painful a manner, at such a young age.

With so many unfulfilled dreams, and so much more to see and enjoy. We don't understand and we don't know why.

What we do know, and cannot be taken away is the time and special moments we spend with our loved ones. That is forever engrained in our memory.

Rest in peace our dearest Silvana.
You will be greatly missed by all of us.
