Márkus, Zsigmond (Sigmond) Péter - Passed away in his sleep at Cummer Lodge, Toronto, on March 17, 2020, at the age of 98. Predeceased by his wife of 50 years Agnes, his son Julius (British Columbia), and his brother George (Hungary). Survived by his daughters Margit "Cica" Strelinger and Judith Katz (Arie), 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was born in Kisszentgrot, Zala Megye, Hungary, graduated from a polytechnic school, and immigrated to Canada in 1957. Known for his work for many years at Algood Castors, where he was loved and respected by his colleagues. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, watched soccer and hockey as much as humanly possible, and a lover of Dobermans.
