Shun Tin (Raymond) Chiu

December 8, 1944 -  July 30, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shun Tin (Raymond) Chiu on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Markham Stouffville Hospital. Raymond will be sadly missed by his wife Margaret, daughter Lily (Kwong), stepdaughter Karen (Patrick), son David (Alice). Raymond will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren Jadyn, Skyler and Carter. Raymond survived by his step-mother Mak Shui Ying, sister Susana (Henry), brother Paul (Cindy), brother Stephen, brother Edward (Grace) and by sister-in-law Connie, Raymond was predeceased by his brother Ambrose Chiu. Raymond will be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends

Raymond had a big heart, loved to help anyone and everyone in need. He joined Mercedes Benz in 1989 as Service Advisor. Raymond was a recognized expert in the field of car service department. He loved his job and his colleagues, his dedication to his company and customers were undeniable. Raymond’s most beloved hobbies had to be karaoke and ballroom dancing; he was not in much sports but he did love watching the Leaf playoffs on TV and he always believed that one day the cup will come home to Toronto.

Celebration of life memories and service will take place on Saturday, August 17 10:00am – 12:00pm at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd East. Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M9, interment will follow after the service at 12:30pm. The family has arranged a reception at Mandarin located 7660 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON L3R 2N2

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.

It has been over 30 years, and we do have a lots of happy times and especially the parties you organised. Will miss you. Condolences to Margaret and the family. With a small donation to the cancer society in memory of Ray, hope cancer can be beaten one day.
