It is with heavy hearts the family announces, Shuk Hing Monica Chan passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022 at Centenary Hospital in Scarborough at the age of 91.

She will be forever missed by her children, Eddy (Xiu Jin), Joseph (Annie), and Michelle (Raymond).
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 70 years, Kar Mok Dismas Lai, and their daughters, Pui Fong and Christine.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to all her grandchildren, Simon, Bonnie (Robby), Shirley, Daniel (Valerie), Alexander (Karla), Andrew, Michael (Sheila), Eldon, Fiona, and Samuel (Victoria). She was also a proud and loving great-grandmother to her four great-grandsons, Atlas, Jacob, Xavier and Varo.

She was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother who loved cooking authentic Chinese food and spending time with her family.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Barnabas Parish, 10 Washburn Way, Scarborough on Saturday, December 17th at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Duffin Meadows Cemetery, 2505 Brock Road, Pickering and reception at Casa Deluz, 1571 Sandhurst Circle, Scarborough.
