Since I was a child, I'm always proud of my dad giving me a so unique last name that seems no one heard of it except a famous coconut candy brand 甄沾記. As times go by, I realized that stars from movie or TV have same last name : 甄妮、甄文達、甄子丹 …… still not many! In my memories, dad is a calm and smart person and never said any flower languages even worked under the environment where his tailor industry are famous to speak that kind of language. Even in his 70+ years old, he started learning iPad and WeChat all those high tech medias which some of them I don't even know. His mind is still very clear even in his last 14 hours I spent with him, he could show okay sign using his figures to nurses. He has smart hearing, he told me in writing that my cell rang inside my bag that I didn't even aware of. As most of you know that my dad is my casino buddy. We had been to Las Vegas, crusies where casinos on ships, lots of happy fun memories together. Also proud to be the witness of my parents' marriage certificate and to celebrate their 40th anniversary at Woodbine Race Tracks. He passed away in the world's famous loving 520 day peacefully in his sweet dreams. Blessing dad and trust his love and casino spirit is still around. Your loving daughter, Ada

When I was a child I got my nickname as the Yan candy, probably due to my unique last name and my small size. I was not happy about that when I was young, but I learnt through this experience to overcome my adversity, I am now proud of my uniqueness and happy to carry the Yan last name forward. I have many fond memories with my Dad and my family. Without the hardship Dad went through, there is no mom, without him, there will be no big sister Ada and Windy for me, without Dad, I will not have everything I have today. I tell people before, I got my smartness from my Dad and warm heart from my Mom. As many of you know, my Dad like Casino, Lottery Tickets and Scratch scratch scratch, as far as I am concerned, he already won the biggest lottery in life to have mom and three beautiful and successful children, we will continue to live well in this world to experience and accomplish more than lottery can ever provide. Be trusted we will care well of our next generations and positively contribute to the wellness of this world. Thank you for everything. I miss you Dad. Your son - Simon.
