It is with a heavy heart that our family says good bye to Shuet Fong. To say she will be missed is a huge understatement. My siblings and I were first introduced to her early in our childhood. From the very start, it was clear to us that Shuet was one of the "coolest" cousins we would ever meet. She had a natural connection with children and we were thrilled to be in her presence. From short visits to occasional meals, to organized family outings, Shuet always made things seem more special.

She was also my mother's dearest friend. The two of them were famous for their marathon phone conversations that could often last through the night and into the next morning. In Mom's last days, which were filled with much sorrow following the passing of our sister Linda, Shuet was a light in the darkness. Her frequent visits gave Mom a sense of hope and those phone calls meant even more as they reviewed their lives with deeper and even more meaningful conversations.

It is a comfort for us to imagine our Mom's afterlife being shared with Shuet. And Shuet's spirit will live within us in this world. The entire Check Lai Low family is thankful to have had her in our lives.
