In memory of

Shu Ying (Jessie) Juneson 謝黃淑英夫人

December 9, 1946 -  November 28, 2024

Shuying Juneson (Jessie) was born into a family of thirteen (13) siblings in India. Being the second youngest she was loved and protected by her many older siblings. Life in India was difficult as many Chinese families struggled against poverty. Sam Juneson immigrated to Canada to build a new life for him and his future family working as an electrician. Sam brought Jessie to Canada in the mid 60's, got married, and started a family. Sam came from a small family of only two (2) children but was soon accepted into Jessie’s family as they all could see the love between them. Sam also developed care and love for the Huang family. Jessie's life can be easily defined by one word - love. Love for her children, love for Sam, love for her brothers and sisters, and love for her pets. Her pets ranged from birds, guinea pigs, fish, and puppies. Her kitchen was always open and she was always very happy to prepare meals or snacks for guests in her home.

When Sam passed away in 2013 her life was forever changed. Jessie developed a new sense of independence and took care of herself and her grand children. Her neighbors would see her shovelling snow, mowing the lawn, gardening, and walking to the local Walmart or Chinese grocery. When her grand son Tyler moved in for school she re-discovered her purpose in life to take care of people and she did this with great pleasure and appreciation for life.

Jessie is a kind, caring, gentle, compassionate soul that cared for everyone and anyone. Her loss is most painful but she would want everyone to be happy that she lived her life the way she wanted to and that is with Sam once again.
