Shpetim “Tim” Mema, 61, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his home in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Shpetim was born September 22, 1955 to Muhamed Mema and Jalldiz (Sedja) Mema in Durres, Albania.

Shpetim Mema was married in June of 1989 to a loving and devoted wife Adriana Xhihani Mema. He and his wife had twin children born in Albania, their son Ivo Mema and daughter Iva Mema. Working as a director at UMB in Durres Albania and faced with the hardships at the time, Shpetim and his wife decided to start a new life with their family in Toronto, Canada.

As soon as he started his own company, Tim supported his wife in her education and career goals along with supporting his children. His personal phrase was “family first” and he honoured that until his very end. Shpetim was the pillar that held his family, always supporting and always cherishing his loved ones. He was deeply rooted in traditional family values and continuously encouraged his children to carry on those values. Although his passing marks a great loss for his family, his wife and children are aware that he will always remain with them as one united family, like he always wished it. Shpetim is survived by his wife Adriana and his two hardworking children. They continuously made him proud knowing that he raised two great individuals and contributing members of society.

Shpetim built a large circle of friends in Canada and touched the hearts of all those whom he met. Glowing with joy and smiling in every hard moment he brightened the day in the gloomiest ones. He taught that in life you keep fighting until the last moment and never give up on yourself and your loved ones. Life is worth living and he lived it happily with his family and to the fullest. The memories he left behind will never be forgotten.
