In memory of

Shoukry "Sido" Azzam

February 10, 1931 -  September 23, 2019

Shoukry Azzam was born in Shefa-Amr, Palestine on February 10, 1931. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Shoukry is the beloved son of Jad Azzam and Faika Birakh, both of Shefa-Amr, Palestine.

He will be remembered as a disciplined, hard-working, loving and a devoted family man that was always willing to help and share with others. His life was filled with adventures that he brought to life when sharing his numerous stories. The stories he shared start from his childhood, during his time travelling with the British Military in North Africa, his time in Jerusalem where he was studying to become a priest, his many world travels and the present stories he shared of being a proud great-grandfather.

Shoukry passed away at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga surrounded by his family and loved ones.

May his soul Rest In Peace. We admired him as an intellectual, Entrepreneur and family man. He used to call me every feast asked about my kids and mom. Today the evening service in our local Greek Catholic Church was devoted in memory of him.

Not a day goes by that Maïa doesn’t ask for you. I will make sure she never forgets you, but I wouldn’t have to do much; you’ve left an imprint in her heart.

Thank you for everything Sido, more than a grandfather. You are the best father!

Until we meet again, I’ll miss your smile

Love you Sido Bandido,

Amanda ❤️

Dad, there are many things I wish I could change in my life and you were absolutely not one of them. I was and continue to be blessed to have had you as a father. Unfortunately, Gods took you from us. I know Our Savior had this day for you to join his kingdom. I didn't thank you enough for everything that you have done for our family. This passing was sudden hospitalizing and I am still in denial. You were an amazing father, grandfather and great-grandfather. I will never forget our secret road trips together and your blessings when I decided to get married. Dad, baba, thank you isn't enough. I don't want to say goodbye my belvede dad but, I will say until we meet again, Inchalla. I know you are in Heaven watching over us and smiling. Remembering and enjoying all the moments with Maia and Gideon when they call you Dido. I will always be talking to you to provide that lending ear, as you always have done. Dad, I love Infinitely RIP Baba

Sido,

You raised my sister and myself from when we were little children. We were the luckiest people in the universe to have you in our lives. You showed us love and guided us to be the individuals we are today. As we now became parents, you showed that same love to our children and they loved you immediately. I will cherish and am thankful for all the memories we shared.

I miss and love you every second. My words will never be able to express how thankful I am for everything you have provided us. Your unconditional love and protection was and is everlasting.

Not only were you kept in this universe for such a long time to care for us but, because the angels needed to prepare the most beautiful place in the heavens for you to reunite with your family and loved ones.

Until we meet again. I love you forever, Sido.
