At 81 years old, Shong Chin Wong known to many as Lucy, passed away on 10 November 2020.

She is survived by her husband, Kian Tong (Charles) Wong, her children Virginia, Rose, Robert, Margarita, Natalia and William, grand-children Albert, Joanna, Ronald, Andrea, Wendy, Lambert, Angela, Marilyn, Jason, Petra & Crystal and great-grand children Ethan and Elaine.

Lucy shared her passion for cooking with her children and grand-children, just as much as she insisted on sharing her special dishes she prepared with love. She was a skillful knitter, having provided comforting signature sweaters and blankets to her children and grand-children.

She was born in Calcutta, India and was a long time resident of Shillong, India before immigrating to Canada and calling Scarborough, Ontario her new home. Alongside her husband and children, she overcame every challenge to make the most of life.

Lucy’s fierceness and love for her family will be missed.

You left us too soon. We will always remember you. May you rest in peace.
