Al and Shirley were friends of my parents George and Muriel Nicholson. They met and partied frequently in Goose Bay Labrador, and kept in touch until their passing in 2012 and 2014. Shirley made a point of finding me afterwards and called a couple of times a year just to see how we were doing. Good people we shall miss them dearly!

Shirley was the best friend a person could have. She guided me through so many big decisions with wisdom and great good humour. A terrible loss to us all. My heart goes out to her family, who will miss her most of all.
