Sheu Heng Choo Chee

November 26, 1937 -  March 23, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Sheu Heng Choo Chee announces her passing on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the age of 85 at Toronto Western Hospital.

Sheu Heng was born in Taishan, China in 1937 to Yew Chin and Fai Ying Lee. She married Georgie Choo Chee in 1957. Loving mother to daughters Donna, Jennifer (Steve), Kathleen (David), Judy and sons Richard, Stephen, Robert and Stanley (Nicole). Dear grandmother to Kristine, Tiffany, Jonathan, Ian, Ryan, Vanessa, Teresa and Alyssa.

Sheu Heng was predeceased by her parents, Yew Chin and Fai Ying Lee, and will move on to join her loving husband Georgie and eldest son Richard. She will be lovingly remembered by all her children and the grandchildren, her brother Humphrey (Sylvarine) and his family, as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A celebration of Sheu Heng’s life will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, Ontario, M2N 5Z5.
Visitation: 9:30am – 10.30am
Funeral: 10:30am – 11.30am
Interment: 11:45 – 12.15pm

I knew Sheu Heng as Pauline. While she is my cousin, I always regarded her as my auntie. Pauline is what I would simply refer to as family. Ever since I was a little kid, she and her husband Georgie and their kids would be part of the fabric of my growing up in Trinidad. It was always comforting to know that we had support during those early years, and I will always have fond memories of her. Rest in peace, Pauline.
