It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shanlai Shi on Wednesday 14th September 2022 at the age of 78. He passed peacefully at Humber River Regional Hospital surrounded by loved family, wife Jialin Ye, son Yichun Shi, daughter Yijun Shi, son-in-law Yuan Sun and granddaughter Naian Sun.
He was born on March 7, 1944 in China. He married the love of his life Jialin. They loved each other unconditionally. They went on to have two children son Yichun Shi and daughter Yijun Shi. In 2014, they immigrated to Canada and reunion with his son and daughter’s family.
He spend over 40 years in his career as the technician at Machinery manufacturing company located at Shanghai China. He loves sweet stuff anything from chocolate, cake, to most of the dessert.
Shanlai was a patriarch to many, a beloved husband and father, respected father-in-law, adored grandfather and friend. He will be remembered for his kindness, selflessness, and all around adorableness.
