Our beloved Shaira went to be with the Lord at age 92 on Monday Feb 26,2024 surrounded by her family. Shaira was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law and mentor to many who knew her. She was one of 11 siblings and is survived by two sisters Doll (Trinidad) and Liz (New Jersey).
Born in Trinidad she met the love of her life Raffick (Sugar) and they were wed in their early twenties. They later moved to Hamilton, Ontario. This beautiful journey of love lasted 72 years, filled with laughter, love and of course challenges which only strengthened their love for each other. They remained devoted to one another and their Lord.

Shaira and Raffick (Sugar) were blessed with six girls, Linda, Diane (late), Zita, Donna, Rhona and Jenny. She was very proud of her girls and nurtured them with boundless care and affection. The family continued to grow with the arrival of twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Her warmth and kindness extended beyond her family continuously mentoring and encouraging others to pray and follow the Lord's teachings. Shaira's departure leaves a void that can never be filled but her spirit will live on in the heart and memories of those who were fortunate to be touched by her love.

Our family wishes to thank William Osler Hospital staff for their compassionate care extended to Sharia.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Shaira donations to Leprosy Canada, Operation Smile or William Osler Hospital (Brampton) will be appreciated.

Celebration of life is on Monday March 4th 2024 at 12:30pm, the Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centres, 7732 Mavis Rd, Brampton, Ontario, L6Y 5L5,

Followed by Interment and then Reception at 3:30 pm.
