In memory of

Shaheed Jalil Brown

March 16, 1997 -  February 5, 2023

It is with great sadness and grief that we announce the sudden passing of Shaheed Jalil Brown (Shade), our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, on February 5, 2023, at the age of 25.
Shaheed, the third child of Syeeda Clennon and Headley Brown, was born in North York, Ontario on March 16, 1997. He had a wonderful spirit. He was a very hard-working student who loved reading and French—maintaining straight “A”s throughout his school years. Shaheed always wanted to be a doctor. Unfortunately, he became stricken with mental illness and struggled with addiction for many years, so he was never able to achieve his dreams.
Shaheed’s passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who loved him.
He will be forever remembered by his parents, six brothers, one sister, three nieces, three nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
You are invited to the celebration of his life and pay your respects:

We will miss his loving nature, compassionate spirit and kindness.
Goodbye sweet Prince!

In his honour, please donate to the Covenant House which kept him warm and fed him when he was lost.

Shaheed you were such a loving, funny, precious adorable boy and I was blessed to know you when you were little. It breaks my heart that you are gone too early and that you suffered. But I know you are in the care of your Father who loves you and one day I will meet you again.
