In memory of

Sean Cyros Samimi

January 23, 2002 -  February 5, 2024

Sean Cyros Samimi suddenly and tragically passed away at the age of 22. Only after his sudden passing, it was discovered that Sean had an enlarged heart, and a cardiac episode contributed to his sudden passing.

Sean was born on January 23, 2002 to parents Marina and Kamran Samimi, at North York General Hospital, Toronto, Ontario.

Sean is the youngest of five, and was a dear little brother to Alex, Danny, Daria and Ania. Sean was a brother in law to Kimia (Danny), Michael (Ania), and Phaon (Alex's partner). He was an uncle to Murphy and Finley, and took that title with great pride.

Sean loved playing hockey (AAA League), and soccer as he was growing up. Sean was also a soccer referee in his teen years. Sean loved playing an acoustic guitar, and exploring all genres of music alongside his brother Alex. He loved cooking and applied his artistic talents to create impeccable dishes for his family and friends.

Sean was a gentle giant who was passionate about animals, and absolutely adored his dog Daisy, and his kitten Peaches. Sean was quiet, and behind that quietness was sensitivity, love, and a caring personality.

The entire family will miss Sean terribly as his absence creates an immeasurable void.

The pallbearers for the funeral service included: Alex, Danny, Michael, Carson, Matthew W., Jason L., Said A., Stuy, and Murphy

Sean was laid to rest on February 11, 2024, at Elgin Mills Cemetery (Richmond Hill).

As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions can be made to Pine River Institute, where Sean found himself and his support network that were so instrumental in his life.

We are so sorry for your loss. Sean will forever be remembered for his kindness and sweet demeanour. He taught Paige how to play guitar, something she will always treasure. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. May your memories be a comfort to you during this time. Lots of love.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I had the privilege of getting to know Sean during his stay at Lang House. He was a terrific cook who put time and effort into creating meals. He was often the first to volunteer to go groceery shopping with me. I enjoyed spending time with him.
