Sau Yun Ng (born Wai Loung 惠龍), 84, of China, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Markham Stouffville Hospital of complications from pneumonia and Parkinson’s disease on Sunday, Sept 8 2024.
He was born in Shanghai in 1940, and was able to find much success in his education and career path through his character, courage, resilience, work ethic, and the providence of God, in a time when these opportunities were difficult to come by. He went to Hong Kong when he was 18 as a high achiever and dreamer, and was able to be trained in places like Japan and Germany to become an excellent mechanic (amongst other roles), which allowed him to rear a loving family and to immigrate with them to Canada in the mid 1990s. He was able to enjoy a lovely retirement surrounded by his children and grandchildren, and wrestled through hardship against an aggressive Parkinson’s diagnosis until the very end. Sau Yun was dearly loved, and is survived by his loving wife Wun Chun (Ling Bo 玲寶) Kung, his eldest daughter Chui Ling Ng and her husband Keith Lai, second daughter Chui Wah Ng and husband Benny Huang, his son Ka Chun Ng and wife Elisa Lau, his grandchildren Carolyn Lai, Leticia Huang, Jayden Lai, and Markus Huang, his brothers-in-law Woon Kan Kung, Chi Kan Kung, and Gwai Kan Kung, and grandcat Maki.
Funeral Service is Sept 14 2024 at York Cemetery, 10:00am Eastern Time.
