Sarah Adeline Morgan, affectionately known as Sally Bird, was born on September 28th, 1917, in Plowden, Manchester, Jamaica. She passed away peacefully on July 13th, 2024, at the age of 106.

Sally Bird entered this world as a twin, weighing just 2 pounds, and defied the odds to live a full and blessed life. Known for her unwavering faith and motherly spirit, she became a cherished figure to many. A dedicated homemaker, she devoted her life to caring for her family and community, guided by her deep Christian faith.

Sally Bird was a proud and active member of Bridlegrove Bible Chapel, where her presence and faith were a cornerstone for many in the congregation.

She is survived by her five loving daughters, one son, and up to five generations of grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love, faith, and resilience.

A celebration of her life will be held on July 27th, 2024, at 12:30 pm at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre and Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on July 26th, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm, also at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre and Cemetery.

Sarah Adeline Morgan, Sally Bird, will be remembered for her strength, her nurturing spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family and faith.

I will always remember ‘Miss Sarah’, as she was affectionately called in my family. There are lots of nice memories to draw from.

It is painful to lose a loved one in death, despite the individual’s age. May Almighty God give everyone who needs it, the strength
to cope with the loss of dear ‘Miss Sarah’.
