In memory of

Sarah Gill (Chapman)

December 15, 1953 -  February 23, 2022

The Chapman family is saddened to announce the loss of Sarah Gill (Chapman), who met her final sunset on February 23, 2022 in her 68th year. Proud mother to Kim, Karen and Krystle. Adored grandmother to Charlotte, Gabrielle, Michelle and Noah. Sarah will also be dearly missed by her siblings and her many nieces and nephews. Sarah is predeceased by her parents Herbert Oscar and Enid Elaine Gill.

Sarah was a compassionate Nurse's Aid, a savvy entrepreneur and a dedicated mother and homemaker.
She loved to sing and dance and unreservedly opened her home and heart to everyone - her generosity was unparalleled. Her warm spirit and infectious laughter will be missed by all who knew her.

A Visitation in Sarah’s memory will be held on Friday March 11th from 4:30 – 8:30 pm at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road in North York. A Funeral Service will follow on March 12th at 2:00 pm and an interment will take place at York Cemetery (Section 30).

For those who wish to view the service remotely, a link to the live webcast will appear 10 minutes before the scheduled service time. We greatly appreciate your ongoing support during this difficult time.

I remember meeting Sarah for the first time, winter of 2006. Krystle invited my sister and I over for the first time, excited for us to meet Sarah, we had become more than just friends, we had become like sisters and meeting Sarah would be the solidarity of our sisterhood. Sarah was a petite but mighty woman, and we wanted to make the best impression. I'll never forget walking in and hearing the reggae playing in the house, Sarah singing at the top of her lungs. We loved her instantly. Throughout the years we observed Sarahs kindness and generosity, she was always hosting someone at her home and all her neighbors felt so comfortable coming to Sarah for anything from a missing ingredient to a deep heart to heart. I had a few heart to hearts with her myself. Sarah's physical presence will be so missed, but her spirit and her love will always live on. Keep your head up my sister, it's what she would want ❤
