March 16, 1938 -  August 15, 2024

With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Santa Donato, of Toronto, Canada, on August 15, 2024, at the age of 86.

Santa is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of nearly 68 years, Antonino; her beloved children, Caterina (Ray), Anna (Saki), and Maria (William); her cherished grandchildren, Anthony (Morgan), Stephanie (Leo), Joshua (Vivian), and Matthew; and her precious great-grandchildren, Daniela and Emilia. She is also remembered by numerous relatives and friends.

Santa was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Frank Lipari. She was born in Santa Lucia, Sicily, Italy, where she grew up alongside her brother Antonio (Josephine). In 1965, she immigrated to Canada, where she worked at a bakery before operating a home daycare. Santa was an avid gardener, a skilled seamstress, and the revered matriarch of her family.

A Visitation and Prayer Service will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, ON.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 717 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON.

Santa will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4570 Yonge St, Toronto, ON.

A light reception will follow the entombment, with the address to be announced.
