A very proud Grandmother. Loved all her grandchildren and glowed everytime she spoke of them. You will be missed but you left lots of memories behind.
Until another day, you are at peace. ❤

We will always remember Sandy for her upbeat nature and her absolute devotion to her family. She always called on birthdays and Christmas, and brought extra joy to these occasions. We all felt the love she had for our family.
Our most beloved memory is the time that Sandy gathered the entire Busby/Burt extended family to welcome our newly adopted son, Aivar, just a couple of weeks after his arrival from Europe. Aivar felt like he now had instant family and all of us were full of gratitude for her thoughtfulness.
Sandy will be always in our hearts.

On behalf of Donna and Chris Wensley (Daughter / Son in law)

Chris wrote this beautiful poem to celebrate Mom

She started a busby
And ended a burt
Lived a great life
With much love and some hurt

Born in 40
To dorothy and derek
Then a couple of siblings
Were thereafter added

Met Don in her teens
And soon after wed
Made a life to be proud of
And held up her head

Started a family
Maybe more than they wanna
Along came Shelley and Karen
And Janis and Donna

She worked very hard
To make house a home
And raise all those girls
All of whom shone

Retired after 50
Not much of a dancer
But wow she was tough
As she said fuck you cancer

Now we have come
To the end of the road
As we lay her to rest
And take on her load

Do not cry in pity
That would not cheer her up
Instead pour a shot
Vodka in a tea cup
