When I first began at Headwaters in 2002 as Coordinator of Spiritual Care, Sandra Ypelaar was already in place as a volunteer chaplain. In the years she was on my team she was a never ending source of encouragement to me. Many times she spoke a word that cheered me just when I needed it. She ministered conscientiously and was part of the team that took on-call work. When she retired from chaplaincy and moved back to Etobicoke, I missed her very much. She was a very special woman who demonstrated God’s love in many ways to a countless number of patients, their families and staff members.
My prayers will be with the family as they mourn this loos.
I only knew Sandra for a short period of time. She was an active volunteer chaplain when I joined the ministry at Headwaters Health Care Centre a few years ago. Sandra was a wonderful, caring person who had a beautiful smile. She assisted me in many ways and I will never forget her. My condolences to her family and may God watch over them as they grieve.
Missed our conversation after she moved from our area.
Now so sorry l didn’t make more of an effort to keep in touch.
I had no idea that Sandra had cancer.
God Bless her.God will have a place for Sandra
My deepest sympathy to Luke and family
