Samuel Ronald Walker

Samuel Ronald Walker passed peacefully, at 95 years of age, on December 29, 2021 at Sunnybrook Hospital. Sam is survived by his beloved wife Joanne, to whom he was devoted for 72 years.
Sam enjoyed a successful career, retiring after 45 years from the Canadian National Railway as the General Manager of Claims.
Sam was well known for being active and participating in his community. He shared his love of golf and bridge with many fellow neighbours. He was always ready to strike up a friendly conversation with everyone he met. Family gatherings, the annual Watson’s Springfest at Bristol Harbour and travelling west to visit family were highlights of a life well lived.
Sam is survived by his children David (Lynne), Dianne (Phil), Cathy (David), Peter (Lilly). Grandchildren Lisa, Scott (Meaghan), Eric (Lindsay), Andrea, Lindsey (Brent), Chris, Reed, Matthew and great grandchildren Alex, Gavin and Ethan, Leah and Charles.
Sam lived a long and wonderful life and will be missed dearly by his family and those who knew him. A private ceremony will be held by the family. Should you wish to make a donation in honour of Sam, please consider a donation to Sunnybrook Hospital, Veterans Centre
