In memory of

Samuel James McNeill

June 9, 1949 -  February 11, 2023

It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Samuel who is predeceased by his father Thomas (Tom), mother Florence, and brother Thomas (Tommy).

He is sadly missed by his sister Marlene, sister-in-law Adrianne, nephews Bill, Gorden and Allan, and the many friends whose lives he has touched.

Samuel will be especially remembered for his encyclopedic knowledge, his all-forgiving nature, and his compassion that extended to those otherwise unseen.

Samuel often said that he especially wished it to be remembered that he was "Made in Ireland".
Whilst Samuel will always be missed we may be consoled that we were blessed to have him in our lives.

SAMUEL'S EPITAPH

“Darkling I listen; and, for many a time
I have been half in love with easeful Death,
Call'd him soft names in many a musèd rhyme,
To take into the air my quiet breath;
Now more than ever seems it rich to die..."

John Keats
1795-1821

My condolences to family and friends who loved Sam and were blessed to have him in their lives. I will miss our long conversations, your sense of humour, the theological studies you passionately shared with me, your Irish jokes. Let’s be comforted that Sam’s longing to hear these words from his beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus, has been fulfilled..’well done, my good and faithful servant…..let’s celebrate together’.
