SALVATORE RUSCICA – Salvatore Ruscica, born March 29, 1935, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on July 28, 2024, in Toronto. Son of the late Sebastiano Ruscica and Mary Josephine Marino. Youngest sibling of the late Anne, Mary, Nell, Alice, Nancy, Tom, and Frank. Loving father to the late Sebastian John. Predeceased by devoted son-in-law Joel. He is survived by his daughters, Mary-Martha (Saul) and Anne-Marie, grandchildren, Rebecca (Chaim), Samuel (Kelli), Natasha, Hava (Ted), and Halle (David), and great-granddaughters Ellie, Josephine, and Ruby. He is remembered by Theresa Russell, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. May he be remembered for his quiet presence, strength and resilience.

Thank you to the medical team and staff at Donway Place and to the nurses, doctors, and staff at North York General Hospital unit 7SE for their excellent and compassionate care.

Visitation, service, and reception will all take place on Tuesday, July 30 at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto. Visitation is at 10am, service at 11am. Internment at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Reception will follow immediately after internment at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre at 12:45pm.

Hi and To Whom This May Concern:

I am expressing my sorrow for my late Godfather whom I had not seen in years (close to 30 years). He was a very fine person and, raised 3 great children all of whom very gifted in different ways. I miss him a lot and, I had not seen him since the ultimately death of his late son Sebastian Ruscica (Russell) whom was very talented in many ways not only with his smarts but as a gifted artist. His daughters are also gifted in much different ways in terms of their love and, affection for others and, for their parent that has just passed on. Thank You and, My Thoughts and Prayers are with the entire family and, this is coming from your loving Godson who respects all people and, hence why I always recall the picture painted by their late son Sebastian many years ago as a Gift-You are in my prayers as I have moved on from my past. I met Sal during my studies at Saint Petersburg, Florida through his daughter and Anbe-Marie. He was a kind nice person. May he rest in peace God bless his soul.
