In memory of

Ryan James Young

February 7, 1987 -  July 17, 2023

“We all love you with all our hearts, May you rest in peace”

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend Ryan. He was the Loving Father of Madisyn, Kayden, Kolton and Shay who he loved with all his heart. Dearest son of Colin and Lesley Young. Big brother to Kyle (Melanie). Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Grandson of the late Charles & Merry Weeks and Jack & Jackie Young. Fondly remembered by the mother of his children Brittany and her family.

We will always remember Ryan as a joker, a kind hearted man, someone who would always help someone in a time of need but also stood his ground when he believed in something. He loved his children with all his heart and was so proud of them all. He always wanted to buy them things and to take them places and to be their Dad the best way he knew how. As a son and brother, he was very loving, caring, generous and always said “I Love You”.

Ryan had his struggles in life recently and was being supported by The Sobriety House in Ottawa. We are very grateful for his counsellor Mark and friend Kyle who have reached out to us with nothing but wonderful comments of Ryan along with many other of his lifelong friends including Janette, Megan, Barry, Chris, Scott and so many more. Thank you to everyone for being there for us throughout this difficult time. We will miss Ryan dearly and will always treasure the special moments we had with him.

Ryan’s Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 30th at The Simple Alternative, 1535 South Gateway Rd., Mississauga. Visitation from 1:00-2:00pm and Service at 2:00pm, Reception to follow.

Please feel free to come up and talk about happy memories of Ryan or if you’d like to write something down someone can say it for you.

As a young child Ryan played a lot of hockey as both player and mainly as a goaltender. Ryan was a fantastic goalie while growing up and eventually one season along with his teammates they won the season, the playoffs and the city playdowns for Cooksville A..... Wayne Gretzky tournament he won 2 MVP awards that weekend.....At an early age Ryan played baseball for Erindale Little League and eventually took up umpiring during the summer months for a couple of years. He also had a paper route with his brother and delivered The Toronto Sun. He went to The Woodlands for 1 year and then to West Credit High School where he learned auto body and was eventually hired by Erin Dodge Chrysler. After a couple of years he then joined his father Colin and brother Kyle and learned HVAC and went to school for that and was a very hard worker. He worked for various companies including Dearie, Applewood, Alma & most recently for Aria....... His pride and joy were his children Madisyn, Kayden, Kolton and Shay whom he loved them with all his heart. He watched each one of them being born and was so proud of all 4 of them.
